GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Coffee Mornings

Welcome to Our Parent Coffee Mornings

Our Parent Coffee Mornings are friendly, informal events designed to bring parents and carers together with school staff in a relaxed and welcoming environment. These sessions provide an opportunity to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and learn more about how we work together to support every child’s wellbeing and success.

Whether you are new to the school or have been part of our community for many years, our coffee mornings are open to all parents and carers.

What Are Parent Coffee Mornings?

Parent Coffee Mornings are regular gatherings hosted by the school, usually centred around a particular theme or area of interest. Alongside refreshments, sessions may include:

  • Short presentations or workshops led by school staff or external specialists
  • Guidance on supporting children at home (learning, wellbeing, behaviour, or transitions)
  • Opportunities to ask questions and discuss topics important to families
  • Time to meet other parents and build supportive networks

We aim to keep these sessions informal, inclusive, and supportive, ensuring everyone feels comfortable to participate.

Upcoming Events and Updates

This page will be regularly updated with information about upcoming Parent Coffee Mornings, including:

  • Dates and times of future sessions
  • Themes or focus areas for each event
  • Details of guest speakers or workshops
  • Any booking or sign-up information (where required)

Please check back regularly for the latest updates, or look out for communications sent via the school’s usual channels.

Resources from Previous Workshops

We know that not all parents are able to attend every session, and others may wish to revisit the information shared. This page also includes slides and resources from previous Parent Coffee Morning workshops, where available.

These materials may include:

  • Presentation slides from staff or guest speakers
  • Key guidance and advice shared during sessions
  • Useful links and signposting to further support

All resources are provided to help ensure that the information shared during our coffee mornings is accessible to the whole school community.

Get Involved

We value feedback and suggestions from parents and carers. If there is a topic you would like us to cover in a future Parent Coffee Morning, or if you have any questions about these events, please contact the school office.

We look forward to welcoming you to our next Parent Coffee Morning and continuing to work in partnership with our families.
