GLF Schools

GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The School Day

At Wheatfield Primary School we have a routine to our school day. The routine for Reception pupils is a little different to Years 1- 6 but for all year groups the following applies:

Do you go to breakfast club?

The breakfast club is a fun start to your day where you can enjoy breakfast, games and time with friends. It's open from 7:30am - 8:30am and takes place in the school hall.

08.40am-9am

The doors open and your teacher or teaching assistant will greet you. When you get into school please:

- Put your coat, water bottle, book bag and packed lunch (if you have one) away

- Change your reading book, complete a mornign task or look at previous work

- Choose your lunch if you have a school dinner

- Say you are here when the teacher takes the register

Morning break time (15 minutes)   KS1/2

You will have some time to have a good drink from your water bottle or a carton of milk if your parent has signed you up to the 'cool milk' scheme. You will also be offered a fruit or vegetable snack.

Lunchtime

It's lunchtime! You will need to wash your hands before lunch and then line up to go into the hall if you are on the first lunch sitting. If you need help cutting up your food you can put your hand up and a lunchtime supervisor will help you. You should put your hand up before eating your pudding, so the lunch staff can make sure you have eaten enough to keep your energy up during the afternoon.  When you have eaten your lunch you can put your coat on and go out to play until 'lining up' time.

Once lunchtime finishes, your teacher will take the register when you return to the classroom.

Afternoon break time (15 minutes) KS1/2

A time to socilaise before the next lessons begins!

3.25pm  It's home time! You will be collected by your parents or another grown-up.

Do you do an after school club or go to In2Care?

Your teacher or Teaching Assistant will take you to the room where your club takes place.
