Meet our Team

Sally Gingell-Waite (Nursery Lead)

I am known to the children as Mrs. Sally.

I achieved my NNEB certificate in the mid 1980’s and a Diploma in Post Qualifying Studies in the early 1990’s. More recently, I have gained a BA (Hons) in Children’s Development and Learning and a PGCE in Early Years to give me Early Years Teacher Status. I am honoured to be the first nursery teacher at Wheatfield when the nursery opened in September 2024. I feel very passionate about giving our youngest cohort of children the best experiences, opportunities and activities that spark their sense of awe and curiosity, which will hopefully give them the confidence and skills to be lifelong learners. I am looking forward to meeting new families to Wheatfield Nursery Class and being involved at the beginning of the children’s learning journey.

Over my time in early education, I have gained a wealth of experience in a variety of settings, including nursery and reception classes; pre-school, day care, special needs and childminding.

I am the mother to three grown up children who all live independently and in my spare time I enjoy reading, knitting, sewing, doing puzzles, gardening, and walking my dog called Elmo.

Stacey Payne (Early Years Practitioner)

The children know me as Miss Stacey

I have worked in early years for the last ten years, mainly in private nursery settings where I have worked my way through my Level 2 in Childcare before obtaining my Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Learning and development in 2019. After achieving my Level 3, I became a Senior Room Leader within a nursery for four years. Working with young children has always been a fulfilling experience that has given me the opportunity to nurture, support, provide and offer different activities that help young children to explore and develop.

I have a young son myself who attends another GLF school and we spend plenty of our free time exploring and making some wonderful memories

Outside of work I enjoy reading, baking, socialising with friends and family and I am a self-obtained country music fan!

Sadia Ash (Nursery teaching assistant)

The children know me as Mrs Ash.

I started working in nursery last year and before that I was working in school as a Teaching Assistant. I always had a passion for working with children, and working in a nursery offers me a unique and fulfilling experience. Working with the children allows me to tap into my own sense of wonder. One of the most beautiful aspects of working in nursery is the relationship I have built with the children over the time, for me watching a shy child grow in confidence, learn to share or taking turns is very special. It is an amazing work experience with an amazing team so far.

Andrea Ho (Part-time nursery assistant)

The children know me as Ms Ho.

Before joining Wheatfield, I gained two years of experience in two infant schools, including one year supporting children in EYFS. I hold an NCFE CACHE Level Award in Childcare and Education, which has given me a foundation in understanding how children learn and development.  I joined the Nursery team last year, and I feel lucky to be part of such a warm and supportive team.

I am a mother of a 12-years old boy. Working with the little young minds just brings back memories of guiding my own son through his early year learning journey. I'm passionate about helping young children learn through play, and am always fascinated by the ways they explore, grow and surprise us every day.
