GLF Schools

GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Welcome from our Head of School

We are delighted to welcome you to our academy.  Our school community works closely with GLF Academy Trust to focus on continual school improvement and building a partnership with parents, families and the local neighbourhood.  GLF stands for grow, learn and flourish - this lies at the heart of everything that we do.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make and we hope that the information on this website, along with a visit to the school, will provide all the information you need to choose Wheatfield Primary School.

We are located in an exceptionally well-resourced building, purpose built for children aged 4 to 11 years. We pride ourselves in being a small school where all children are known, valued and have their individual needs recognised and met.

We grow and learn together each year and our children are integral to the development of the school, its curriculum and the learning environment.

Our curriculum is designed to provide an aspirational and rounded education for all children, helping them to grow into confident, thoughtful, highly motivated learners who continually expand what they believe to be possible.

As well as achieving well academically, we believe that it’s important for children to build the social and emotional skills that lead to resilience and the ability to embrace challenges and change. Skills that will also enable them to develop as responsible citizens who actively contribute to society.

Above all, we aim to stir in children a passion for discovering the things they excel at and to develop the capability and confidence to pursue them actively throughout their lives.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and that you will re-visit it regularly to keep up to date with our latest news.

Please contact us to arrange an individual visit. You will be warmly welcomed.
