Special Education Needs or Disabilities (SEND) is a term used to describe children who have additional needs in one of the following areas of their development:

  • Communication and interaction
  • Cognition and learning
  • Social and emotional health
  • Sensory and/or physical difficulties

SENDIASS

SENDIASS

Click here to be transferred to information about the local Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS).  SENDIASS provides free, confidential, impartial advice, guidance and support for the parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
